Dear Bruce, I have ordered a copy of your book, The War on CA.,Defeating Oil, Oligarchs & The New TyrraWny. I am a Board Director on a nonprofit in Ventura CA where oil and gas have the 3rd largest operations in the State. We are www.cfrog.org -- Citizens for Responsible Oil & Gas. We are educating, organizing and litigating to bring sense to the outright capture of local planning and elected officials along with DOGGR in Sacramento. We have only been in operation for 5 years and have learned that the only way to effect change is by getting into the permitting weeds and the outrageous disregard for CEQA by planning staff and the overarching influence of WSPA. One of our Advisors Steve Colome PhD called me and suggested I read your book immediately. I await the arrival of your publication. My job with the nonprofit is the political end of bringing change to oil and gas operations and the addressing of climate change as it related to fossil fuel, air and water along with the impacts to community health in Ventura County. We have excellent State Representatives who agree with us in Sacramento, but we need to strengthen our outreach to fight the oil and gas industry. May I call you and invite introduce CFROG to you? We are small but mighty with professional advisors and board members who bring very impressive credentials to the table. If you are interested in our efforts please give me a call at 805 746-0199. Most sincerely, helen conly, Board Secretary CFROG.org 805 746-0199
